BeLux Region Revealed as Most Satisfied With Outsourcing in Europe-Wide Study
Dominique Kindt, Regional Director, Belgium and Luxembourg
Given the BeLux and Europe-wide trend for increased levels of outsourcing, a positive finding from EquaTerra’s latest European outsourcing study is that 84 percent of participating organisations are satisfied with their service provider and 86 percent would recommend their service provider to another outsourcing buyer.
The situation is even more positive in the BeLux region with 88 percent of all participating organisations satisfied. This is the highest percentage for all regions featured in this study. Also, 89 percent of BeLux organisations would recommend their service provider.
Another interesting trend highlighted in this study is that more organisations are utilising offshore outsourcing. Fifty one percent of BeLux organisations currently use offshore capabilities. This is broadly in line with the Netherlands (55 percent) and the Nordic region (52 percent) but significantly lower than the UK which has the most developed market in the use of offshoring in the study; 71 percent of the polled UK organisations deliver services from offshore locations.
This year’s European Service Provider Performance and Satisfaction Study investigated over 2000 outsourcing contracts held by over 750 of the top IT spending organisations in Europe. This included over 400 outsourcing contracts held by over 175 leading organisations in the BeLux region. A copy of the management summary report can be viewed here.
